New Facility

Assemblywoman Janele Hyer-Spencer (D-Staten Island/Brooklyn) is pleased to announce that she has secured $4 million in the state’s 2008 fiscal budget for the expansion of a new community center by the Staten Island Community Center, Inc., (SICC) a non-profit community organization whose mission is to provide cultural, educational, and social programs to all residents of Staten Island. The SICC, currently located at the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue, organizes events open to the community from plays to artistic performances. The proposed facility will provide increased services for the children, adult and senior populations on the island.

Due to receiving generous grants SICC can now move forwards and begin construction of its new facility.

The new facility will provide increasing community services of our children, adults, and seniors citizens.
